This is a very cool initiative. It may be able to give homeless people a voice and a way to keep track of each other. I was wondering how homeless people can gain internet access to take advantage of this site?

Well the best place is any Public Library. I work for Surrey Public Library and here we offer an interent only access card where the user does not need an address. This is designed for homeless people who need to log onto the internet to look for work or contact friends and family. This would also be a perfect opportunity for homeless people to access homeless nation. The Vancouver Library offeres a very similar service and is welcoming to homeless people.

This is a great idea. I really do feel that those affect by homelessness often have to suffer in isolation. Bringing together this support group seems to give the homeless sense of belonging, even if that sense is not in a physical form of a home. Thank goodness for public libraries and other resources that offer free Internet access; without them the public would be not able to see the other side of reality.

Yes and being a staff member at Surrey Public Library I can see how important it is for these homeless people to stay connected to the internet! I have even spoken to some of them about the fact they can gain internet access in the library and they are very grateful!
